Thirty Days of Being Thankful - Day 15

Day 15
I am thankful for books.

I've loved books ever since I was a little girl.  Who wouldn't love someone reading Rupert to them?!

At seven, the boys loved their Beano and Dandy annuals and even at 15, it hasn't changed!  But now they also have to get the Doctor Who annual, which I get to read too.

And Nathan?  We started him young!

I don't get to read as often as I'd like to, but when I have a chance I can get lost in a book.  The gmen still enjoy reading and I'm thrilled that Nathan is really starting to read.  I love it when he sounds out a word in his book and he gets it!

Do you find time to read?  Sorry, reading stitching charts doesn't count!

I work in a bookshop, so I get to read for work! I still read aloud to my 11 year old son very night. We are currently reading E Nesbit's "forgotten masterpiece" The Treasure Seekers (according to Waterstone's who have chosen it as their Book of the Month).
For myself I generally read YA fiction because I need to keep up with the new releases. Currently reading Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke and Bones series.

I love to read, but rarely take the time lately. You've inspired me though! I loved it when my son was little, we would read aloud to each other. I miss those days!! Enjoy them with Nathan while you can!! *hugs*

I LOVE to read too! I am hoping to pass this love on to my children. we read no less than 3 books per night and every gift-giving holiday is sure to include a book as a present.

I love to read and run the library at my community centre. My little granddaughter loves to be read to, and I delight in keeping her happy with a nice story or two.
