Scavenger Photo Hunt, June đŸ“·

It's June already, time for Katie's I live, I love, I craft, I am me ... scavenger photo hunt this month!

The words for June are...

Spotted
Here we have Maximus and Ming, who have spotted our next door neighbour's cat, Harley.

Even Phoenix spotted him on the fence. Although I think she actually chased him there!

Starts with a K...
Here we have Kitty at the Keyboard.

Cobweb
No explanation needed.

Step(s)
Here's an oldie - The steps little Nathan was taking when getting away from Gunner's playful attempt at a nip!

Notice
Take notice - Please don't mount "Cowvin"!

My own choice
A Christmas tree in June is dangerous!

On a side note, I have noticed a difference in posting for this Photo Hunt post and my usual stitching one. On my regular posts, I can respond to comments by replying to the email notification I receive when a comment is left. That's because most followers have email addresses set up with their account. But on this type of post, I've noticed that most people respond within the blog post, and unless you choose to follow responses, you won't see it unless you go back to it later. For those who have left previous messages on my Photo Hunt post, I'm sorry I haven't respond. So now I think I'll start responding within the post to those who don't have an email added to their account. Does this make any sense?! 😣

Friday's Stitching Ground 🐈

For this Friday, I didn't get to stitch until this evening. It's been another busy day at church/school getting ready for the Clarksville Picnic tomorrow.

My sweet boy, Maximus, was keeping me company tonight while stitching. I haven't been stitching much this week, but I was still able to do a little every day.

With DH and Nathan being gone all week, it's been quiet around here with just Gman2 and I. Nathan comes back from scout camp tomorrow (yay!) and DH comes back on Sunday from his Home Brew Beer thingy.

Do you have a full house, or maybe just one or two of you there?
Furbabies count too!

St Michaels girls getaway! 🩀

I don't know if you remember, but in April we were supposed to celebrate Cori's birthday in St. Michaels. She ended up getting sick on her birthday 😱 and we couldn't go.
To make a long story short, Sallie, at The Parsonage Inn, was so accommodating, she let us postpone our trip to another time with no price change. So this past Sunday, we headed there to have some belated birthday fun!

Cori had never been there before so I knew it had to be special. In a way the delayed trip was better, the weather was absolutely perfect.

The flowers were out everywhere, so very beautiful.

This was the inside sitting area.

And this was next to it, with the dining room through the doors.

This little guy was waiting for us on the bed.

I set up a fun candy bar to celebrate her 50th.

There was supposed to be four of us, but only Kerri could join us. Our bedroom had a sweet sitting room and another additional little bedroom so we were all together.

We ventured out to see the sights and shop the shops.

Christ Church Steeple

St. Luke's Steeple

I love that we're still in Maryland!

This bad boy can stay in St. Michaels!

So many decisions, but we finally decided on where to go for dinner...

Good choice!

Our dining view on a beautiful evening.

Oooh, love those flags!

OMGoodness, so delicious! Although I had to help Cori finish hers!

The 50's club!

And you can't go to St. Michaels without seeing a mermaid.

My two favourite goofballs!

We'll be coming back again, hopefully with more friends and staying longer?

Oh yes, we were party animals.

I was able to stitch a little while I was there, but especially liked being able to stitch outside our room in the morning. I figured this was the perfect piece to start there.
I wish I had taken a picture of our breakfast, it was amazing!

And our last bit of fun before heading back home.

My treasures from the trip, no big surprises.

Friday's Stitching Ground đŸ„

This Friday has me staying at home for a drink and stitching! đŸ˜Č
DH bought this one for me, he knows what I like.

I've made this one before, but I'll be giving this one to my Mom next Easter. This is nice to have and stitch when I want something simple and there's no rush for it!

Do you have a piece handy for easy stitching?

Birthday/Father's Day fun and fun finds

I pretty much celebrated my birthday all weekend, starting by going to Manor Mill (Friday's Stitching Ground) on Friday afternoon. On Saturday we went to a revamped place near us, Brewer's Art Tavern... we'll be back! Then on Sunday, my actual birthday and Father's Day, the boys made DH and I breakfast AND cleaned up too... eventually! Another dinner to celebrate our day, and then finally there was cake!

DH made my favourite, a lemon cake with lemon curd filling and lemon icing, delicious. 🍋

This is how much Cori loves me because she HATES zombies! She also gave me the beautiful bracelet... sisters.
My parents gave me the mermaid on the left, Gman1 gave me the one on the right - I'm easy to please. I'll show you Gman2's gift when I get it, but I need to give him a picture first.

Oh, what fun I'm going to have making treats in these!
Cori said she bought it when we went away before Christmas and wrapped it straight away so she wouldn't have to look at it!

She also got me this dragon towel - having fun.

These are some of my finds this week at a thrift store and our church white elephant sale. I bought two mags for these patterns, I'd like to think I'll stitch them soon. And a Dalek mug, Nathan claimed it though!

More goodies today, I love that the beach one still has the mat with it. I might use the wine glass charms for wine glasses, or maybe for stitching?
I've been volunteering this week and some next week, so every day is a new treasure if I'm lucky!

This is what I made for my Dad for Father's Day, and thankfully he received it on time. I ended up gluing it to a board I cut and then added a magnet to the back so he could position it the way he wanted. Not perfect, but I was happy with it.

And he found a spot for it! The big wall was too dark for it, so he put it in the kitchen so he can see it every day. He said he has always wanted a ship in a bottle, although I'm not sure he thought he'd get it this way!

Overall a great way to spend our shared day/weekend together!

Friday's Stitching Ground đŸ»

We're back at it again, but this time with all our boys!
We went to Manor Hill Brewing and before some friends met up with us, I was able to start this one.
I just received it today from Vickie, I won one of her giveaways on her blog. Thanks, Vickie @ A Stitcher's Story! I'll be passing it along when I'm finished, Hinzeit Love America.

The first drink I tried was a Jousting Windmills: Triple Berry Blast, yum! Then the Jousting Windmills: Naranilla/Pineapple, even better! I "had" to have two of those. And DH got me a Crowler of it to bring home to celebrate my birthday on Sunday!

They grow their own hops there, pretty cool.

The guys played cornhole, it was a beautiful afternoon.

So what fun things do you do on a Friday afternoon/evening?

Friday's Stitching Ground đŸ„Ș

No beer tasting this afternoon, I was on lunch duty! But I did get to stitch in between lunches.

I just need to finish the sails and then start back stitching. Plenty of time to be ready for my Dad on Father's Day.

In other news... The hawks are back!
Last year there were three adults and this year I only saw two initially. Today I noticed three again. Older sibling who won't leave the nest? Aunt or Uncle? Grandparent?

They seem like they all get along well.

Baby! So adorable.
