Waves Exchange 🌊

Oops, I forgot about the grab bag exchange at the shore! The word was WAVES and these were the goodies to choose from.

I ended up keeping this one.

It was Robin's and I love it!
I haven't used the frame yet since I've been stitching smalls, but it's ready to use when I do.

This is the one I put together, I was able to fit everything in it.

This is what I put inside.

Through process of elimination (the organizers couldn't win) I tied/won? for most creative. I got to choose between two charts and I chose this one. This one should fit in the frame from Robin!

Flashback of the Hershey Fall Getaway 2024 🍫

I know this is a late posting since this was in September, but at least it's still 2024!
(Memories of last year, posting late.)

Another fabulous event by LinAnn Events!
So many fun retreats, present, past and future!

We were in a different stitching room this year, much nicer with lots of windows.

Our "sweet" goodie bag.
I love that I have a stitching magnet for the car.

So many great vendors!

One that I didn't get a photo of was Sister Lou Stitches. She came later and I forgot to take one, oops!

My little stitching area.
I had just started Hands on Design's October.

We didn't go into the park this year, but instead went shopping at Hershey's Chocolate World.

I love those Reese's, especially the pumpkin ones.

Who knew?!

Such fun with these girls!

That would be one huge brain freeze!

Brenda thinks if she kisses up to the frog, he'll leave her alone.

Cathy working on her sampler, such a beautiful colour.

My bestie!

And a sweet Kiss!

Our funtastic table, it's always a good time with these girls!

Ah, the white elephant exchange.

This is what I ended up with, so many lovely treats. The word this year was CANDY.

This is what I put together. The tree stump had to have a squirrel!
If I remember correctly, two of us were tied for the most creative.

A collection of treasures I purchased from some of the vendors.

Our group, hogging the stairway for our photo shoot!

So another fall retreat was a success, and next year is planned. I'm already excited about it!

Flower Power Retreat 2024🌼🌺🏡🌻

Imagine, I'm delayed in posting about the May Flower Power Retreat, hosted by LinAnn Events!

I pulled this out again, Gman1 and C's wedding sampler. But now that their actual photos show all those beautiful flowers in it, I realize I need to add them. That will require some thinking, which I was unprepared to do there!

I mean, look at all those gorgeous colours!!!

I really didn't do much shopping, but I did find some goodies at Annette's Mind Your Needle!
Although the sweet needle holder was a gift from her.

Also forgot this... Interchangeable Scissor Fobs, adorable!

Ah, the freebie table. It's hard not to find something you can't stitch without.

Then it was time for exchange, always a good time!

Although I didn't get to keep the one I originally chose, I did get this fun bag.

The word was SPRING and inside was -
Stickers, (including the Flower Power sticker)
Pincushions with buttons,
Ruler,
Ink marking pen,
Needle holder and minder, (a bee ❤)
Grips
All great stitchy things!

This is what I had to offer.
I bought a bee potholder and opened up the bottom to put everything inside. It almost didn't fit. I propped it on a picture holder stand and added flowers to the back of it. It was a plump bee for sure.
Scissors,
Pattern,
Ruffled Red threat drop,
Ivory Lugana,
Needles,
Glove in a Bottle (lotion),
and floss that spelled SPRING.

Our table this year. We're missing a couple of our friends, we're missing them! Hopefully at least one of them will be able to join us for the next retreat.

And the whole lot of us!

This is what I ended up working on. I wanted something simple that didn't require too much concentration. Wrong... I can't tell you how many times I ended up frogging several stitches!

And then before I knew it, it was over. 😟
So I'm already looking forward to the next one, next month!
