Today I'm running errands with DH, who's getting some supplies for the CYM Italian dinner this weekend.

A Mer-what?! 🧜♀️
The mermaid section in my craft room has an addition, can you spot it?!
It's a merpoodle! Isn't she adorable?!
Dear Vickie made this for me after I passed along a series of charts I had already stitched.
I certainly wasn't expecting anything in return, I was just happy to do it - but I think it was a win/win for the both of us!
So now she has a new home with lots of friends to keep her company, and every time I look at her I'll be thinking of sweet Vickie. So thank you, dear Vickie, I will treasure her always.
In other mermaid news, I'll be stitching these two cuties fresh from the Nashville Market. I'm not sure which one I'll start first!

The People Chose 🆓
Who doesn't love freebies? I know I do!
For those of you who love dragons like me (Jo and Katie too!), Dragons Dreams on facebook has plenty. That's where I found the one I stitched for Valentine's Day. I think I'll stitch this one for next year.
Maja at The Snowflower Diaries offered the Joyful World several years ago, but I have to finish the last three months. I'm still trying to figure out how I want to change October.
She also has other wonderful patterns for free too.
I know I have lots more, but honestly can't remember them all. And of course there are the ones I've printed and haven't stitched yet!
Maybe there's one there waiting for you to stitch?

I stitched this one for a friend, it's from Lynn @ !Happiness is Cross Stitching. She has lots of cats, as well as many other lovely patterns - all pretty quick and easy!

Scavenger Photo Hunt, February 📷
Thanks to Julie, I decided to join in on I live, I love, I craft, I am me ... scavenger photo hunt.
The words for February are...
Sound/hear
As tree limbs were breaking off all around me from the ice, this one snapped off right after took a photo of the tree.
Smell/scent
This is a new flavour to me, orange/vanilla, and it smells wonderful! Gotta love the creamsicle.

Feel/touch
Nathan was feeling the cold when he wrote this on our trash can lid while we were waiting for the school bus.
Taste
The awesome taste of cranberries in the beer my DH brewed at my request.
Sight/see
In spite of it being winter, our hibiscus has been blooming almost nonstop since coming indoors.
My own choice

Gman2 came home from Franciscan that weekend to see both of his brothers. It was easy for Gman1 to show up, he goes there! Even his gf was able to see the last round after cheering for the basketball team.

Friday's Stitching Ground AND Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus! 🏴
Today's stitching ground brings me to my craft room where I pulled just three green threads. Getting ready for that green day, but first...
Not included in my Welsh display are tea towels, tshirts, and jewelry!
The big love spoon was given to me from my Pop and Nana Nesta when I was visiting them in Wales when I turned 18. The smaller one is also from them when DH and I got engaged.
I'm not sure why we didn't get a wedding one, but I think I will have one made next year for our 25th.
... Happy Saint David's Day!
I realized I didn't have anything for today so I stitched this up yesterday and finished it today.

I added the Welsh Dragon to my March Garden Journal.
And that's me before we moved to the states, in my Welsh Hat.
So this is what our daffodils look like as of today, I'm lucky if I can even find them at the store!
I was going to make Welsh Cakes today, but when I pulled out my currants, I couldn't use them. I guess I didn't seal them well enough and they were rather, moldy. That sort of put me off making them today, so I'll try again tomorrow after I get a fresh box!
So instead, I'll share this photo of my little helper taken about seven years ago. Yikes!
So do you have a special family treat you make for special occasions?

February Smalls SAL 🐧
It's February and time for the Smalls SAL, thanks to Mary for hosting.
This is what I've got for this month - all totally finished, yay!
Dragon Dreams freebie, I made this for DH for Valentine's Day. It's a tiny one!

Dragon Dreams freebie, I made this for DH for Valentine's Day. It's a tiny one!
This was included in one of the magazines I bought. I made it for Mom's old roomie, Gail, from rehab.
Mom and Dad were able to attend her little birthday party, so they gave it to her for me. She liked it!
The girls together again!
Another Mill Hill Sleigh, I love this one.
And another one from a magazine. I'm not sure who this will go to, or if I'll just frame it.
I'm happy with this month, but not sure what next month will bring.

Friday's Stitching Ground 🛋🍹
This Friday evening I'm stitching in the basement while watching Grand Tour with the family. Gman2 came home for the weekend, so Gman1 and his girl, C, came over too, win/win!
I'm still loving Gathering Honey, making more progress.

Family time and more snow 🌕❄
Last weekend Nathan and I went to visit my parents, we hadn't see them since Mom's birthday.
The deer love coming to visit and eat their way through their yard. I counted thirteen in this herd, I just couldn't take a picture of them all.
They even stopped by the chapel.
Dad enjoyed DH's cranberry beer!
And a quick selfie with Momma before we left.
My Valentine set up. I thought I had more, but can't find it if I do!
Tiny dragon! I think this might be the smallest finish I've ever done, with the exception of some bottle caps magnets.
This pattern can be found on the Dragon Dreams fb page.
The "Snow" moon...
... brought snow,
and stitching!
Gathering Honey is coming along, I love it!

Friday's Stitching Ground 🛋🐝
This evening brought me to my craft room where I decided to finally start Gathering Honey. Which also meant I had to gather supplies! I already had the fabric and floss, and luckily had the magazine it's in. I had the magazine years ago, but for whatever reason got rid of it. I found it again at a book sale, for only $1.75, phew!
I have no idea what fabric it is, but I know it's 28 count.
Here I go...
Earlier today my stitching ground was the sofa where I finished this little guy.
So where are you stitching today?

Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop❣
Happy Heart Day to You...
It's also time for Jo's Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop!
Check out Sweetheart Jo @ Serendipitous Stitching to hop around and see all kinds of stitching love. Will you be able to guess whose stitching belongs to whom?
This is the lovely heart I received, but I have no idea who made it. Was it you?!
“Love is, um, hearts and kisses. Oh, and hugs.” – Finn, Age 5
Hugs are my favourite, they are a wonderful thing to give and receive. They don't cost a thing and are beneficial to both huggers. I am blessed to have family and friends who love hugs as much as I do.
Have you got anyone to hug today? Go surprise someone!
I get to hug this "little" (no way is he 12!) guy today, we even get to have a special lunch date together since he has a half day at school.
