TH Thursday...

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

I was looking on Pinterest (surprise, surprise), and found so many great sites to give you writing ideas. I was more looking for something to THink about being THankful for, or THoughts to THink about, and this is what I found.

What made you smile today?
I had lunch duty at Nathan's school, so I got to see all the children from kindergarten to eighth grade come in to eat lunch. Even though I'm in the kitchen helping out with the hot lunch, I see them in the hallway and in the cafeteria.
This one little girl had the biggest smile on her face and waved at me saying hello like she was happy to see me. Do you I know her? Nope. But she made my heart happy and put a smile on my face.
It got me thinking, how often do I say hello to a stranger, with a big smile on my face? I'd like to think I do, but now I'm not so sure. Guess what I'm going to be doing a lot more of?!
How about you? What made you smile today?

After smashing my L1 Vertebrae last year, I am thankful everyday that I'm able to walk. Today the 1/2 hour I did on the treadmill made me smile.

I love smiling at people I don't know. I read a story once about changing a person's life by showing kindness and it affected me so much I have done that as often as I can. I smiled reading this blog and the others I follow. I smiled at my mother this morning. My dog was having a dream and kicking and barking while snoring loudly I smiled for having such a lovely furbaby. When my son gets up and comes downstairs I will smile at him. He is my life. Lots of smiles. Thanks for sharing yours!

What made me smile today? Our very old dog (15+ or so, she refuses to share her age) absolutely delighting in her weekly vanilla frozen yogurt from Baskin Robbins. And your post made smile, too. :)

For me, my smile was remembering the things my granddaughter did and said yesterday when I collected her from school and she came for tea and some playtime. The imagination of a 5 year old....... we were making treasure maps and playing diamond mining under the table ..... i'm getting a bit old for that sort of thing (my body tells me today!)

We do forget sometimes, don't we? Can't think of anything at the moment, but thanks for the reminder to be more aware.

What a great little girl, and how nice to be appreciated too. I often found that the most chatty children were the ones who were ignored at home so they loved to get that adult attention at school. It was lovely to really listen to them and feel you were making a big difference to their happiness that day.
My sons make me smile most days.
