Success!

I found a fabric that works!

Thank you for those whose gave me suggestions, the other fabric just had too much glitter (who knew there was such a thing!)
This isn't exactly what I was looking for, but it's the best I could find - with Dianna's help at The Stitching Post! Now to get my butt in gear and start stitching.

It's snowing here, although ever so lightly. We're supposed to get an inch or so, but I don't see that happening. At least Max is enjoying watching the birds, I finally filled the feeders yesterday.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with this one. The red in the lighthouse will really pop on this fabric.

Glad you figured it out. I think the one with the sparkles was beautiful but agree it would take away from the words too much. This one should be perfect. I look forward to seeing your progress on this one.

Fantastic! The new fabric looks like it will work very well with the white thread.

Great choice on the fabric! I should get some feeders for my cat (also Max) to watch as well. But he makes this weird "i,i,i" noise whenever he sees birds, so maybe not.
