Scavenger Photo Hunt - Ball ๐Ÿ“ท ⚾๐Ÿˆ

Welcome to the fourth word of the Scavenger Photo Hunt for September. As always, anyone can join in with whatever inspires you and I can always add it after the sign up is closed. This time I'm super late, so sorry!
This week's word is -

Ball
Smiley ball in Dubai when we were there in 2015.

Ornament ball on the Maryland tree at the National Christmas Tree display in DC. Deep Creek Lake used to be our go to place, but we haven't been in a while.

The Gmen at Deep Creek conspiring to throw a snowball at their Dad, I think!

Dragon with his glowing ball in the snow. This is just one of the beautiful colours it shows.

Spike enjoying a gumball bath.
(This might have also been used for the word bubble?)

Spike and Scotch having a snowball fight with the snowmen.

Football pins for the Moms when the Gmen played football.

DH and the Gmen playing Bocce Ball at the beach, many summers ago.

This was a fun wedding of my friend's daughter, held at the Orioles Stadium in Baltimore, in an event room overlooking the field.
Can you tell they like baseball and Super Mario?

Nathan and his friend at an Orioles baseball game saying hello to The Oriole Bird!

Said bird I stitched for a friend.

And now what you've been waiting for, here are the words for October. This is my favourite time of year with all the beautiful colours coming out and the fun of Halloween.
If you choose not post about anything Halloween, please pick your own for any of the weeks shown.

October  1st      Pumpkin
October 8th     Candy
October 15th    Purple
October 22nd   Costume
October 29th    Halloween or Choose Your Own

Scavenger Photo Hunt - Fall ๐Ÿ“ท ๐Ÿ‚

Welcome to the third word of the Scavenger Photo Hunt for September. As always, anyone can join in with whatever inspires you and I can always add it after the sign up is closed.
This week's word is -

Fall
Fall Ball Baseball!

Although this year the shirts aren't showing Fall Baseball on it.
Can you tell Nathan's have a good time?!

My favourite time of year, fall and all those beautiful colours!

Fall colours under the fallen snow.

A fallen top of the loaf of bread I made from DH's spent grains after his brewing.

A fallen tree from our neighbour's yard after a storm this summer, luckily it missed our house.

A fallen fence caused by the tornado that hit in Annapolis in my friend's neighbourhood. Thankfully it missed her house!

Just waiting for those falling leaves!
I know this is a repeat from school, but it works.

I added the falling leaves and the leaves on the bottom of this Joyful World piece.

I didn't stitch this Mill Hill, but I want to!

See you Friday for the word, Ball. I guess I had a head start with my first two photos!

Scavenger Photo Hunt - Pizza ๐Ÿ“ท๐Ÿ•

Welcome to the second word of the Scavenger Photo Hunt for September. As always, anyone can join in with whatever inspires you and I can always add it after the sign up is closed.
This week's word is -

Pizza
The one good thing to come from the craziness of the pandemic? Our pizza night on Friday's. We started with store bought dough and now DH and/or the boys make the dough. It's been a learning experience and I think they've got it down! The best part? I'm only responsible for cooking the sausage, the guys do all the rest, works for me!

The tools for our Friday pizza night.

The dough, adding garlic flavoured olive oil is delicious. DH has made it enough he doesn't use a recipe anymore, he just wings it and sometimes changes it up.

Learned the hard way, adding cornmeal helps the pizza slide off the paddle when putting it in the oven.

My side of the pizza with sausage, I'm not into the hot stuff like DH and the Gmen. Nathan still prefers plain cheese.

The sauce, yum. We've tried many different kinds of sauce, but this is our favourite. The funny thing is, Ledo's pizza is not my goto pizza place, but this sauce is delicious.

Putting it on the pizza stone needs two additional helpers so the toppings don't fall off!

The end results.
One of these Friday's I'm going to make a taco pizza, it's been way too long since I've had it!

My slice, I think I had three?!

This is a deep dish pizza Gman1 made in his cast iron pan. Gman2 now has a pan too, so using them both should make it much easier with less waiting to eat it!

When I was in my super healthy phase, I tried this and actually like it. The guys, not so much.

This Christmas tree container looks like a huge slice of candy pizza! Nathan enjoyed eating using it.

When Karen and I went to a stitching retreat a couple of weeks ago, this was in the pizza place we stopped in for lunch.

And this was the curtain hanging in the restroom window, fun!

No pizza stitching for me, but I saw this in the store the other day and I thought it was appropriate!

See you next week for the word, fall. Different ways to go with that one!

Scavenger Photo Hunt - School ๐Ÿ“ท ๐Ÿซ

Welcome to the first word of the Scavenger Photo Hunt for September. As always, anyone can join in with whatever inspires you and I can always add it after the sign up is closed. It was Labour Day weekend for us, so I'm way late in posting.
This week's word is -

School
This photo is of my Dad in 1955, in Braintree, Essex. He's standing in front of the school his Father taught in.

My brother at 16, at boarding school, Grenville College.

School means homework! This was in our old house and the Gmen's study space.

Awe, Nathan's turn to go to school.

Then onto kindergarten! Can you tell he was excited to go?

This is a yearly Laps for Lexi event that we attend at Sandy Spring Friends School, and will be doing it this month. You can read more about it here. This also applies to school since this is for a friend I went to elementary school with and some of our other school friends join in too.

School means High School Football! Too bad Nathan isn't interested in football like his big brothers.

It also means Mom got to wear school spirit wear!

School is also Vacation Bible School. I miss those days!

I think the only school stitching I have is the little red schoolhouse with the apple in the corner.
There are things I've stitched for teachers, but can't remember them all!

See you Friday for Pizza, yum!
Ever have dessert pizza? More yum!
