Spring tease

Ah yes, 60-70 degrees in February, crazy weather!
Our neighbour's Winter Aconite looks so lovely and colourful. She has offered to share some with me, so I think I'll take her up on that tomorrow.

Someone thinks it's spring already.

Our Snowdrops look beautiful, even though they haven't seen any snow this year.
I hear tales of snow in March, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Max and Ming are enjoying being outside, they love the sunshine and rolling around out there.

But even with the nice weather, I'm dreading the water with the lighthouse. I'm using Kreinik... I think all of the water is Kreinik, ugh.
Luckily/unluckily, I didn't go away this weekend to the party for this special someone, so at least I have some more time to look for my stitching mojo and finish this!

Good luck with the Kreinik! Go slowly and you should be fine.

We are having the same warm weather here. No flowers to be seen yet though.

Your photos are lovely! That bee visiting the flower makes me think that spring really IS right around the corner, and he is probably right. Although it would have been fun to have one really big snow this winter. Maybe next year?? :)

Bet Max and Ming thought that sun warmed concrete was wonderful - happy cats!

Thought at first the yellow flowers were scattered crocus - they're just lovely. And lambs ears! Haven't seen lambs ears since we moved north. :) Are the snowdrops also bulbs? Very pretty!

It's great to see some flowers blooming. We are still cold and rainy. I don't enjoy Kreinik, you are brave!

I always love to see the first flowers of spring in the gardens. I only have snowdrops in a pot in the kitchen, our first flowers in the garden are primroses - but nothing yet to see.
Hmmmm, stitching with Kreinik isn't my favourite either. But if I can't replace it with anything else I try to get through it as fast as possible. Good luck with it.

Beautiful pics. Kreinik is a pain to work with but looks GORGEOUS once it's done. Good luck.

I always dread the Kreinik stitching, but I love what it adds to the project. I know you will be so happy when it is over. Your snowdrops look beautiful

I always use a larger needle for Kreinik and loop the thread around the eye of the needle so it doesn't come unthreaded as much.
The effect will be well worth the effort!

I'll take this crazy weather over snow and ice! Good luck with the Kreinik. I think it's going to be pretty.

Hope your stitching with the kreinik goes without a hitch and you make good progress.

The lighthouse is going to be wonderful. That certainly is a lot of Kreinik, but you can do it. Love seeing the flowers, so pretty and cheerful.
