Getting to Butchart Gardens and Victoria

Leaving Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay/Vancouver to Victoria on the ferry.

Looking behind

It look about 1.5 hours one way.

We arrived and ended up parking in the crab lot - Maryland is for crabs!

Just a little drizzly, but no big deal.

The colours, just beautiful!

Peaking through the hedges.

The blue, the purple, ahh!

Lots of "animals" to look out for.

Nathan looking rather small.

Cool fountain show.

Do you see what I see?

Nathan looking through the cottage window.

In Victoria - Love this!

Tired from walking, we needed an ice cream break.

Nathan gets around.

Gammy found a friend!

I want this!!!

Heading back to Vancouver

Waiting in the car to leave the ferry.

Unfortunately, I saw Wilma's response to my cross stitch shop question too late.  She said there was one in Victoria and I know we crossed over the street it was on!  I didn't see her note until we had left and were back on the ferry, bummer!

Ah, the pictures made me homesick...Victoria is my hometown, although I left there 46 years ago, when I got married. I have a niece who is one of the head gardeners at Butchart Gardens...wonderful place, huh. sorry you didn't see my post on time...you would have enjoyed that shop!
