Happy Christmas from Spike and friends

On day twenty five...

♪ ♫ "Oh, come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant!
Oh, come ye, oh come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels
Oh, come let us adore Him,
Oh, come let us adore Him,
Oh, come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord." ♫

Almost time to go

It's almost the end of Spike's adventures.

On day twenty one, Nathan finally found them and yelled, "Spike's got a girlfriend!"

He shared more candy with them this year.

And he couldn't forget the rest of the misfits.

One day twenty two, Spike, Scotch, and their Lego buddies tried sledding.

I think they need a little more room.

On day twenty three, Spike and the Ninjago gang got together to give Nathan a Ninjago figure and Lego erasers.

On day twenty four, Spike read, "The Night Before Christmas" to Scotch and their friends.

But we missed it, so we had to read it together later as a family.

As of now, he's still waiting for Father Christmas.
I wonder if he'll go back with him or stick around another day?

Another five fun filled days

The merriment continues...

On day sixteen, the Hogwarts gang came for a visit. Even the dreaded Dementors! They also left a "cootie catcher" to figure out which House he belongs in.

On day seventeen, Rudolph and friends dropped by and made Bumble out of Legos.

On day eighteen, Nathan found Christmas music playing and Spike's Lego friends were dancing with the M&M guys.

On day nineteen, Spike and Scotch were handing out Santa hat kisses to everyone.

On day twenty, Santa came by for a big Santa hat kiss of his own!

What will they get into next?

TH THursday, another Friday edition

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

The coming of Jesus at Bethlehem brought joy to the world and to every human heart. May His coming this Christmas bring to each one of us that peace and joy that He desires to give. ~ Mother Teresa

Jesus was a king and he wore a crown even though he was a baby. It was a really small crown ~ Jay, five.

*I forgot to add that these were made by 4th graders at Nathan's school* Although I wouldn't mind displaying them at our home!
There were lots more, but I didn't get them all.

More fun with Spike and Scotch

The fun continues...

On day eleven, Spike found the Elf Kisses and shared them with friends. Scotch got into the Gummi Bears and shared them too. Good thing he didn't find the spiked ones!

On day twelve, they found the Dove Peppermint Bark to share. I obviously need to hide the sweets better!

On day thirteen, it was movie popcorn night. Scotch chose "The Search for Santa Paws", cute!

On day fourteen, Spike made a candy dispenser filled with mini M&M's. Nathan's been enjoying that too!

On day fifteen, it looks they wanted to put this together for Nathan but were probably in a food coma from all the junk they've been eating!

Still more time for adventures and trouble?

TH THursday

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

Today I am thankful for messages of love.
Nathan wrote this to me when it snowed last weekend. He also wrote something today in the dusting of snow we had last night, but it melted before I could take a picture. 😱

Spike and friends

Making more "friends" and having adventures.

On day six, Spike, Scotch, and friends became part of the Fisher Price Little People Christmas sets. None of them are quite the right size!

On day seven, they must have invaded the wrong territory in the house and got themselves captured!

On day eight, they found the Toy Story gang for a game of Connect Four.

And Toy Story for the win!

On day nine, they looked at cards and told stories of the past.

On day ten, Scotch's friend, Woofi, came to play with them and they got creative. Nathan thinks Spike made a dinosaur but I'm thinking a dragon!

Still plenty of things for them to get into...

Day 9 of the Advent Calendar đŸšȘ

Welcome to Jo's Online Advent Calendar, Day 9!

I stitched this Mill Hill Frosty Mug this year. Although this isn't exactly how I'm finishing it, I had to dress it up a bit for you!

This year I finally put up our craft tree - all handmade ornaments from family and friends.

Mainly the boys treasures, but also some from my DH's childhood and mine. And of course friends - Noni, do you see what you sent me?!

And here's all the lovely ones that DJ made me. The snowman in the middle is the newest one, isn't he adorable?!

Jo's question this year was... what are your plans and traditions for Boxing Day?
We moved to the States from Wales when I was two, so we brought Boxing Day with us.
Since we didn't have any family here, we celebrated that day by inviting friends over for plenty of food and fun. I remember being read to and then reading myself all the fun annuals I received at Christmas. My parents always took off that day and I did too when I was older and working.

Luckily, DH has off between Christmas and the New Year, which makes it nice. We used to spend Boxing Day with my parents, but now we stay home and maybe have friends over for food and hopefully fun! Nathan has been receiving annuals every year and he'll spend time reading them like I used to.
This year I'd like to say I'll organise my stitching stash and plan what I want to stitch for the year, but I'll be realistic and be happy if I get to stitch!

Please pop on over tomorrow to my lovely stitching friend's door, Vickie at A Stitcher's Story.

Thanks once again, Jo, for continuing this wonderful tradition. It wouldn't be Christmas without it!

And here's wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and fun-fulled Boxing Day!

TH THursday

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

Although maybe it should be Forget Fridays!

I saw this on Pinterest and I think I need to stitch it. I have this on my email ~
There is always, always, always, something to be thankful for.

Spike's back!

Spike took his time this year and didn't return until December 1st to visit Nathan. This year it seems like he's making friends... sort of.

Spike and Scotch made a "gingerbread" house and Dobby came with it! They also brought Nathan his chocolate advent calendar.

On day two, they found some more elves to keep Dobby company and gave Nathan a Ninjago character.

On day three, they decided to make themselves a Christmas tree.

On day four, Spike made a Lego angel and Scotch made some yellow snow, yuck!

On day five, it looked like Spike, Scotch, and friends were captured by the trash people for invading their space in the basement.

Plenty of more days to come!
