Christmas has come and gone... already!

So sad, Spike and Scotch were ready to leave on Boxing Day. I thought I would be nice and share my favourite chocolates before he could take the lot!
I hope they come back next year, I'll be checking out Pinterest if they do!

Christmas morning was nice and pretty calm. Nathan played Santa and handed out the presents, he loved it!

According to the Gmen, this is the last year they're doing this. Maybe it will have to be just Nathan and I instead!

This can stay up until February as far as I'm concerned!

The boys got Spikeball and had fun with it that afternoon.

Sneaky Nathan put this on MY wishlist for the cats!

And in stitchy news...
I know backstitching can be a pain, but the result is so worth it!

This is the finished piece I made for my sister-in-law. She chose the pattern several years ago and I finally made it for her!

This was made for my older brother, us Saints fans must stick together!

Gman 2 loves the Redskins, this is his.

Gman 1 likes Boba Fett, so this is his.

Poor Nathan will have to wait for next year, he wants a Pikachu Christmas one!

I made these for Nathan's teacher and teacher's aide.

This one went to his bus driver.

I seem to be on a perforated paper kick, so that's what I'm working on right now - an early start for Christmas small gifts next year.

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year! Here's a challenge for you -

Spike's last week

On the 19th, Spike and Scotch decided to take matters into their own hands and made cookie dough. So much for my clean kitchen.

On the 20th, they enjoyed those cookies!

On the 21st, they saw how much fun the Playmobile kitchen was having and decided they wanted a gingerbread house.

On the 22nd, they added the finishing touches to the boys design.

On the 23rd, the gmen were home and they thought they might enjoy these cookies!

On the 24th, they gave Nathan some Skittles for breakfast, he was happy.

And on the 25th, they remembered the reason for the season.
For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord ~ Luke 2:11

I hope you have a very Happy Christmas and a
blessed New Year!

It's starting to feel like Christmas...

Last Friday, DH and I finally got our tree. I don't think we've ever gotten it this late, but we got a deal! It's up with the lights on, but not decorated yet. The gmen just came home today, so we'll put the ornaments on later.

We spent that night with our friends in Annapolis, it was super cold and felt very Christmassy!

We went into a restaurant that was pretty empty, except for some people at the bar. We should have known why it was empty - at least the kids liked what they had on the kid menu! Plus side, the kids had a great time and we adults will always remember it. Also, I got this picture!

This was on display at Kilwins, Spike would love it here!

 St. Anne's Episcopal Church

Lights decorating the streets.

We stopped in at the Westin Hotel to see the gingerbread display.

Gingerbread St. Anne's Church

Even Santa!

This fountain was still flowing in spite of being almost frozen.

Back at their house, Maci was keeping me company while I was stitching.

The next morning we woke up to ice, I was hoping for snow.

I love the red berries!

We had no trouble coming home, except the closer we got, we saw cars abandoned along the road and even a snow plow.

It was more ice than snow, Nathan was peeling it off the flag.

Our poor snowmen were very sad!

That's from his hat!

My finished magnet for Nathan's music teacher, she loves Gilmore Girls!

Trouble with Spike

On the 8th, Spike decided he needed a "bubble bath". It looks like he found a friend too, meet Scotch.

On the 9th, they got Santa to "support" their sweet tooth habit.

On the 10th, it looks like they took the TARDIS out for a spin to get some Smarties.

On the 11th, they got into Mrs. B's cookies and chocolates. They'd better save a vanilla for Nathan!

On the 12th, they decided to share their goodies with Rudolph and friends.

On the 13th, candy canes were the sweet of choice.

On the 14th, Haribo Gummy Bears were a hit. Dolly looks especially happy! (Maybe he soaked hers in some vodka, they way I like them?!)

On the 15th, Hermey must have taken charge and said, "Remember to take care of your teeth after eating all those sweets!" But it looks like Scotch needs some more practice with the floss.

On the 16th, the rest of the gang passed down some candy canes to enjoy.

That night, we went to spend the night at our friend's house and their elf, Sara, was busy decorating.

On the 17th, it looks like Spike and Scotch wanted to do some baking.

On the 18th, it seems they're really pushing for baking since we didn't honour their request yesterday!

Another week to go...
