Trick or Treat Blog Hop πŸ‘Ύ 2023

Are you ready for the magical, mysterious, and mischief of Jo@Serendipitous Stitching's Annual Trick or Treat Blog Hop?!
Start there to see where to begin collecting all the letters from the other participating blogs to solve the Halloween phrase for this year.

I stitched this little piece in August, but finally framed it just in time for the hop.

It's tiny modernist, Mouse's Halloween Stitching.
I changed some colours and added the bat instead of the moon.

The mantel, with more stitched pieces.

Two more stitched pieces, can you see them?

A couple of new houses for this year.

I made this one with a house from the Dollar Tree and some accessories.

More stitched pieces, mainly Mill Hill.

And finally, the Peanuts gang in the pumpkin patch, with Ming as the Great Pumpkin?!

And I can't forget sweet Maximus, the time he was a "Monster".

Did you figure out your letter yet?!

Now, Move on over to the next blog to get your letter, Roni @Life Outside the Washing Basket.

Wishing you less tricks, and lots more treats for today, Happy Halloween! πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ¬

Fully Finished Gallery ~ February 2023 πŸ–Ό

Not as productive as last month, but I have joined Rachel and her Fully Finished Gallery SAL for February.

I know I've shown this already, but this is all I've got this time.

The mermaids had been stitched and waiting to be finished for about two years, oops. This was my first biscornu finish and won't be my last.
At least I framed the Moon straight away.

I have plenty ready to be fully finished, I really need to set a date every month for finishing.

Halloween Exchange @ Needlecraft Haven πŸ§™‍♀️

I participated in Needlecraft Haven's Halloween exchange this year, which was to stitch a bookmark for your partner.
This is what I received from Dusty. She also snuck in some pretty variegated DMC floss!

Isn't she lovely and colourful, wart and all?! I've decided not to hide her away in a book, but display her in my craft room year round instead.
Thanks so much to Dusty, I love her!

This is what I stitched for her, all from the calendar pattern I bought from tiny modernist when I made my Haunted House.
It was wonderful to have Ming join me again while stitching. Take that, Chewie!

But then I decided it needed another little something, so I added the spider's web and spider.
I added part of the paper that's shown on the back, to the back of bookmark, then placed it in a plastic bookmark holder I had to protect it.

Unfortunately, it was a day late with me going back and forth to my parents house to help out with each of them taking turns being in the hospital, in addition to adding the spider.
Although I really should learn to start asap and not spend so much time trying to find the "perfect" pattern!

Friday's Stitching Ground 🧜‍♀️

This evening I had Ming for company while stitching. I was also sitting with DH and Gman2, we were watching Netflix's Tiger King. OMGoodness, no way could that be real. Talk about drama!

I decided to pick up this little sweetie, it's certainly been neglected. But maybe it's a good thing I took a little break, it does get a little repetitive.

And my drink tonight... DH surprised me with this one from his local brewery delivery yesterday. Yum!

He's doing his part in helping the local businesses, he gave me this one before dinner!

Although I was outside again pulling weeds this afternoon, this is my beauty today. It's been blooming like crazy and as soon as the weather is stable it will be going outside.

So here's Addie and my Mom when I called today. This is what Addie does when she hears/sees me calling. Not the best recording, I was using my iPad to catch it. It's so nice to see them, but not knowing when I'll see them in person really stinks. At least Mom is feeling better, it's now Dad who's exhausted with no energy.

Are you able to video with friends and family? Facetime has been nice, and of course just using the old fashioned phone works too! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe, we can do this!
