TH THursday, another Friday edition

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

The coming of Jesus at Bethlehem brought joy to the world and to every human heart. May His coming this Christmas bring to each one of us that peace and joy that He desires to give. ~ Mother Teresa

Jesus was a king and he wore a crown even though he was a baby. It was a really small crown ~ Jay, five.

*I forgot to add that these were made by 4th graders at Nathan's school* Although I wouldn't mind displaying them at our home!
There were lots more, but I didn't get them all.

TH THursday

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

Today I am thankful for messages of love.
Nathan wrote this to me when it snowed last weekend. He also wrote something today in the dusting of snow we had last night, but it melted before I could take a picture. 😒

Although maybe it should be Forget Fridays!

I saw this on Pinterest and I think I need to stitch it. I have this on my email ~
There is always, always, always, something to be thankful for.

TH Thursday... Friday edition

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

Thanksgiving, time with family and friends. Wishing I could be with my brothers, but happy that I was able to talk to them. Thankful for my chosen sisters that were able to join us and missing those who couldn't.
In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. ~ Albert Schweitzer

Nathan's take on being thankful.

Of course I'm thankful for this guy!

And these three!

No explanation needed...

I hope your Thanksgiving, or Thursday, was special and memorable.

Sorry, but this is how I'm feeling - sad to be learning it from family.

But tomorrow is another day, with still so much to be thankful for. πŸ’—

TH THursday... on a Friday!

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

So much excitement yesterday getting ready for a stitching retreat this weekend, that I totally missed posting! DJ and I are headed to a retreat in PA for the weekend, our first one with... 😲 strangers! But first we're headed to the local craft show at the fairgrounds, it's that time of year already. It's supposed to be in the 70's today and we'll be hearing Christmas music there I'm sure! Crazy weather.

So I am thankful for getting away (we both truly need it), and meeting new stitchy friends. If you happen to be there, that would be awesome, come look for us!

TH THursday

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

Today I am thankful for memories of my younger years.

Memories of Ducksberry in Devon.

Memories of my older brother leaving for Boarding School.

Memories of Clovelly, also in Devon.

Memories of graduation and my first car.

Memories of my Mom making this clock that I got to help with.

Memories of our dog, Hannibal, a big slobbering softie!

So many memories, always making more because tomorrow is never promised.

TH Thursday

THinking, THinking, THinking...

THinking THoughts, and being THankful on THursdays.

Today I am thankful for the support of friends - not for me, but for another.

If you haven't seen this yet, where have you been?!

This quilt was made for Danielle Jones, aka Stitcherista, who is being treated for breast cancer. She lives near me and we've met at the Stitching Post and had lunch several times - our group includes Jill, DJ, and Denise.

This quilt idea was started by Laura Johnson Ellis, stitched by many wonderful people, and quilted by Cindi Jackson. What a group effort!
And if you know Danielle, you'd know this is totally her.

Cindi Jackson's photo on fb.

I stitched the Oriole bird - sometimes while watching Nathan play baseball in the spring.

The cats kept me company many times.

I almost made the Ravens bird too, but just couldn't do it!

So I am thankful for a community that cares, and in this case, it's the stitching community.

Danielle is on flosstube if you want to see her reaction to opening it, it should be this one. Jill recorded her opening it when she gave it to her on Saturday.
