Friday's Stitching Ground 🐾

Today Gman1 and I payed a visit to my parents, and Addie too! It was my Dad's birthday last Sunday, so we had a little celebration with them. Addie got a goodie too, a Halloween collar!
Here's Little Missy keeping me company while stitching. She's not like Maximus who likes to play with the floss. Oh no, she'd rather try and chew the fabric! So I figured out rather quickly not to leave it alone with her.
I'm not quite sure how I'm going to finish this, it's for a dear friend who recently got married and they are both "bikers"! 🚡

During her walk, she followed me into the pachysandra patch to jump around and try and grab the weeds I was pulling. I'm still waiting on more leaves to fall for her to run and play in them!

Here's my Momma and Addie, she was finally calm enough to sit with her - Momma can get kind of wild! 😜

I think we wore her out before we left, she was exhausted!

My Dad took lots of photos, but he has to "fix" them before sending them to me so I've got nothing to show!

Are you a picture taker or more in front of the lens? I do like to take them, but nothing like my Dad!

Family time and more snow πŸŒ•❄

Last weekend Nathan and I went to visit my parents, we hadn't see them since Mom's birthday.

The deer love coming to visit and eat their way through their yard. I counted thirteen in this herd, I just couldn't take a picture of them all.

They even stopped by the chapel.

Dad enjoyed DH's cranberry beer!

And a quick selfie with Momma before we left.

My Valentine set up. I thought I had more, but can't find it if I do!

Tiny dragon! I think this might be the smallest finish I've ever done, with the exception of some bottle caps magnets.
This pattern can be found on the Dragon Dreams fb page.

The "Snow" moon...

... brought snow,

and stitching!
Gathering Honey is coming along, I love it!

Friday's Stitching Ground πŸ›‹❄

This Friday brings me to the "keeping room" where I'm enjoying the fire on this snowy day. And I've got my stitching buddies joining me!

I'm finally working on Sirena herself, I love those teal colours.

It's still snowing, although ever so lightly.

So where are you stitching?

Friday's Stitching Ground πŸ›‹

Although not exactly my stitching ground this afternoon, it's prepping for stitching.
Here's the table in my craft room, let me show how you how I got here.

Yesterday I went to Joann's because I had a 40% off coupon, so I thought I would replace the 18 skeins of floss I can't find I'm out of. All the Christmas goodies were 75% off, an extra bonus. I also got the mats to use for my silk gauze. This lot cost $15.88, not too shabby.

Today I hit Michaels to use my $5.00 coupon and also 20% off including sale items. I didn't think they had the new DMC colours because they weren't with the others, but after browsing around, I found where they were hiding it! I thought about buying all of the new floss, but really didn't like all of the colours and it wasn't really a need, but a want.
This lot only cost me $1.72 and it showed the floss on sale for .11... awesome! I still have another $5 off, so maybe I'll have to go back tomorrow?!

And as I'm sitting here writing this, Sirena is next to me waiting to be stitched on later this evening.

More fun with S&S πŸ₯ž

More trouble, fun!

On day eleven, Spike had his special elf cereal. He always makes a mess, which makes Scotch very happy!

On day twelve, Zurg was upset that he'd been left out, so he elfnapped Spike and Scotch. But look who came to their rescue!

On day thirteen, after their rescue, they hid out in the snow to relax.

On day fourteen, they made friends with the mermaids in my craft room. Nathan wasn't very impressed!

On day fifteen, they decided to make pancakes... but just for themselves, what?! I hope they decide to share the next time they get cooking.

I've gotten some small stitching done, with help of course.

Halloween has Gone to the Dogs!

This Halloween Nathan didn't want to go Trick or Treating, he wanted to hand out candy instead. We couldn't do it at our house since we don't get any kids, so we went to the doghouse... Karen's new house! Although he did wear a skeleton shirt and cap, so he sort of dressed up.

And Karen's babies were ready for action!
Emily (aka Darla), with her new do.

Karen's front window, looking good.

Her monsters, Henry and Emily.

Poor Emmie, "Really, Mom?"

Now it's Henry's turn.

And Henry getting ready for Thanksgiving, silly turkey boy.
Not too many kids came to her house, a little disappointing but we still had fun.

November 1st was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the colours that finally decided to come out.

Oh boy, DH's favourite... leaves!

Even more colourful today.

In stitching news, I'm almost done with this one! After changing some of the pumpkin colours, now I'm going to change the bottom. I don't really care for the checkered part, but I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do instead. Maybe grassy or pumpkin patchy (is there such a thing?!) Any ideas?

The People's Choice SAL Oct 2018 πŸŽƒ

Go Jo! She's got a new SAL starting this month and it's changing every month according to what WE choose! It's The People's Choice SAL.
Per Jo, "Regular followers will be aware that for over 3 years now I have run a themed SAL on the first Saturday of each month.  First we spent 26 months doing The Alphabet Club and then 12 months of the Zodiac.  Now I have decided to listen to the People and post about your choice of theme.  In September I asked for suggestions on the blog and then made a poll in the IHSW Facebook Group from those suggestions.

The top three choices were:
Hallowe'en

Birthstones
Dragons

So I will do one for the next three months.  At the end of this post I will ask again for your suggestions and one of those will become the theme for January.  In November, we choose February's theme and so on.  I will post the results in my sidebar so you have plenty of time to decide what to show."

Did you see that... DRAGONS!

So here's my spin on Halloween for October.

No where near as many as Jo, but I like what I've done so far.

I haven't quite figured out how I'm going to finish this one yet.

My favourite stitched piece, love her!

Still working on this one.

And this one just needs a little bit more.

I doubt I'll get this done in time for Halloween, but at least for next year!

And all these goodies to be stitched.

So are you in? I wonder what we'll choose in the New Year?!
