Easter Blog Hop 2024πŸ‡

Welcome to this year's Easter Blog Hop from Jo @ Serendipitous Stitching!
Be sure to start there to start collecting letters from the participating blogs to figure out the seasonal Easter phrase.

This is an oldie I made my parents back in 1988.
I think it was from a magazine? I liked it so much I had to make one for myself, I just have a different coloured frame.

I added another PEEP this year after going to the PEEPshow yesterday. It's the sherbet looking one in the bucket on the right.
I hope to have that fun post up this weekend!

I was certainly given the Perfect letter this year.
Here's a Pretty Pink Peebunny to show you!

Now hop along to get your next letter, which can be found with Elfie @Elfin Stitches.

Wishing you a blessed Easter.
Thanks Jo, for another fun bunny hop through the blogs! πŸ₯°

Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop 2022 🐰

Please start there if you haven't already to begin collecting letters from the other participating blogs to put together the seasonal phrase.

I've added gnomes to my PEEP display this year, and then decided to stitch one to combine the two.

The fabric is actually a light green, but you can't really tell in the photo. He also looks like he's related to Cousin Itt from the Addams Family!

And here's what you've been looking for, the letter...

Now hop on over to Mary's blog, Le Coeur Celtique, for your next letter in the phrase.

We shall be spending Easter with my Dad this year, and honouring my Momma in her chapel on Easter morning.
Wishing you a blessed Easter this year.

Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop πŸ‡

Easter is a little early this year, but welcome to Jo @Serendipitous Stitching's annual Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop!
Please start there if you haven't already to begin collecting letters from the other blogs to put together the seasonal phrase.

This is an oldie from 1990 that I stitched for my parents, they have it up year round at their house. Although I barely remember stitching it and have no idea where I got the pattern.

Spring is certainly springing here, and along with it some rain, wind, small hail and even flurries yesterday. I don't know if it actually flurried here, but it did at my parents house! Crazy Maryland weather.

And here's the letter you're looking for...

Your next stop is with Cathy @The Stitching Grandma. Please head on over there to find out your next letter!

Have a blessed Easter, may it remind you that hope must never be lost, for as dark as the road may seem, there always lies light at the end of it.

Holiday Mix Up πŸ€πŸ‘»

Well, why shouldn't we enjoy Easter at Halloween? This is certainly the year for it!
I joined in on Needlecraft Haven's Easter exchange, way back in the spring. But with the shut downs everywhere, the exchange was postponed... until just recently at Halloween.

Here's what I received from Dusty, what wonderful treasures!
Fun pumpkin and Christmas buttons, Made with Love charms, a needle threader, wonderful smelling hand lotions, a variety of beautiful floss colours, and a most precious chick ornament.

Isn't it adorable? I love all those sweet flowers too. It even looks great at Halloween!
So thanks to Dusty, for such a fun exchange and treats.

My treats were sent to Dusty, that worked out well!

I decided it needed a reminder of this crazy year and how we had to postpone the exchange, so I added a bat to the back.

Now I'm working on a Christmas exchange although I can't believe it's almost that time, it was just 78 the other day... crazy weather for sure!

Friday's Stitching Ground 🎹

Tonight I was watching for KING AND COUNTRY's facebook live concert while doing a little stitching. Another hidden piece you'll have to wait for.

It was only about 35 minutes, but I loved it! They had the band in their own homes and played...

...

Earlier in the afternoon it was yard work after my walk, we only got a tiny bit done though. DH said he needs a new tractor, oh boy.

And some more beauty, in our unkempt garden.

As we've been walking every day, I've noticed more and more people outside doing yard work, with lots of mulch! We haven't gotten that far yet, but I know it's coming. If we're home I figure we might as well get busy, outside and most definitely inside!
Have you found things to keep you busy if you're at home, besides work if you're able to?

Friday’s Stitching Ground 🐰

Tonight it looks like Maximus is the only one keeping me company!

I finished the previous small I was working on, but you won’t see it until Sunday. I felt like doing another one so I pulled this one out of my smalls stash box.

I thought I would give this drink a try, good thing I only bought one! And also thinking about the Welsh cakes I’ll be making tomorrow.

If you get any of the wonderful British stitching magazines, do you stitch the freebies they include with them? I can’t remember if this cute bunny came from one of those, or from a retreat freebie table that someone didn’t want. Either way, it’s a quick, fun one!

Easter Blessings ♱ 🐰

This year we decided to spend Easter with my parents, it was closer for Gman2 to get to from school and it has been quite a while since we spent it with them.

What a nice surprise from Vickie, she sent my parents a lovely card for Easter! It looks good next to my stitchy bunny.

My Momma spent the morning in her chapel, such a beautiful alter.

Oh boy, Dad gave us hats to wear when we went to collect her. Even poor little Tenny!

A rare photo with my Dad.

Two out of three isn't too bad, but still missing Gman1. He spend Easter with his girl C and her family - we missed her too!

Dad got all fancy for us. Although Mom didn't eat with us, she's still eating her soft/pureed food, and it was more comfortable sitting in her chair in the next room.

Nathan was happy to be searching for his eggs later in the day.

Gman2 searching for his beer, he's happy too... sort of!

Nathan found an egg by Oma's window.

There's Momma/Oma watching from her room!

Taking a break, although he had another six pack to find.

DH before he left to go home, he had to work on Monday.

And on Monday, before Gman2 headed back to school.

Overall a very nice Easter and visit, tomorrow we head home. Nathan has off the rest of the week, I'm not sure what we're going to get up to yet.

Here's an oldie I made my parents, I ended up making one for me too since I liked it so much. I think I changed the colours a bit though.

I hope you all had a Blessed Easter, or maybe Passover?

Easter Exchange Fun 🎁

This year I participated in the Easter exchange with Needlecraft Haven for the first time, such fun! I brought the package with me to open on Sunday since we would be at my parents house.

I received my gift from Mary @Le Coeur Celtique, thank you so much! I tried one of the chocolates today, OMGoodness... it was raspberry chocolate and just melted in my mouth, so delicious!

How adorable it this?!❤ And I love the little bunny charm in the middle, so cute. This will look great on my Easter tree when we get home later this week.

This is what I put together for Clare @Aimetu's Stitching. I used an Easter pattern I already had, but never stitched, and only had to buy the "basket". I wasn't sure whether to stain or paint it, but Karen suggested painting it white.

The finished result, with most of the candy inside.

This is the photo Clare took after she received it. I forgot to take a picture of everything together before I sent it.

I'm already looking forward to participating in the next exchange, thanks for hosting this, Clare. And thanks again to you, Mary, for such sweet gifts.

Hopefully I'll have another Easter post tomorrow and then I need to respond to comments AND most important, catch up on my blog reading. I haven't even gotten to read the Easter blog hop posts yet!
