Sad News in Stitching Confirmed 😢

I "heard" about this sad rumour yesterday but couldn't find any truth to it, until today.

If I remember correctly, I bought this with a gift card many moons ago. Best gift ever!

This is one I made years ago when I joined a Margaret Sherry SAL... in 2011!

We were supposed to make three from this series, but this is as far as I got on the second one. I feel like I should finish it in her memory.

I'm thinking and praying for comfort for her family, who will miss her dearly, as we will in the stitching world. But how wonderful that her daughter will be continuing the company and will release her unpublished designs. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

Have you stitched any of her adorable patterns?

Sad time for her family.
I think most stitchers have stitched one of her lovely designs, they are such beautiful characters and well done her daughter for continuing what her mum started.

Such a sad time for her family. I have seen her designs but never stitched any. Dose she use quarter stitches in her designs?

This is sad news, glad to hear her daughter will continue designing her patterns. I have not stitched one of her designs, but I will in her memory. I'm sure I have some patterns in magazines I have bought.

This is definitely sad news. Margaret Sherry has been one of my favorite designers for a very long time. I have stitched several projects of hers including her Twelve Days of Christmas. I, too, am glad to see that her daughter is continuing her legacy.

I am so sorry for Margaret Sherry's family. God bless her and may she rest in peace. I'm not familiar with her work but love the stitches you have shown. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever

Such a sad loss of a talented woman. I only recently learned of her and have not stitched any as of yet. I think her patterns are adorable and will have to stitch one in her memory.

I saw that on Facebook. So sad. I love her designs. I don't know if I have done any yet though. I'm so glad she passed the business to her daughter.

I'm guessing she was more well-known in the UK than the US? I have so many of her cover kits and magazine designs I thought everyone knew her! I have stitched quite a few although cute animals is not really my style, they do make nice presents. Especially the mice for Mouse!

I have not stitched any of her things. It is always sad when we loose a gifted designer.

Sad news indeed. I have finished a couple of her 'Cattitude' cats and have a few more of her designs in my WIP box. I was thinking about trying to finish some of those WIPs next year; this news will encourage me to do exactly that. :)
