Thirty Days of Being Thankful - Day 23
Day 23
I am thankful for Disney movies and Disney stuff!
I finally got to watch Monsters University with Nathan and Garrett, it was a pizza movie watching night in front of the fire and it was great!
Just a sample of our Disney movies, I know I'm missing plenty. Now I think we need a movie marathon...
A few of our Christmas movies, we'll start watching them on Thanksgiving.

I couldn't forget our trip to Disney when the gmen were almost four - we are way behind for our next visit!
I did make these for my nieces and also included their own names on their favourite princess, but I never took a picture of them. I must have been so excited to give it to them that I forgot.

Even though it's not Disney, I love these movies! My favourite one is Santa Clause is Coming to Town.
My Toy Story toys, I can't help collecting them. Nathan will tell you some of them are his, but I'm sure he's wrong.

Thirty Days of Being Thankful - Day 22
Day 22
I am thankful for cameras and the pictures they produce!
I've had my fair share of cameras growing up - my yellow underwater one was pretty cool way back in the 80's, especially since we had a pool.
These are my most recent cameras and I've killed all of them, overuse I guess! I try to take care of them, but things get cracked, come off, or just stop working, I don't know why. These are being donated to the gmen's high school, not sure what they'll do with them but I'd like to think they were being fixed up and used again! (But when the duct tape comes out, it's never a good sign.)
And I have so many pictures to be thankful for, but I think I'm actually missing a box or two.
These are all prior to having a digital camera, dating back from elementary school.
You know when you used to order two sets of prints to share with friends and very rarely did? Or is that just me? I actually have envelopes I started with pictures to give away, I think I might surprise some people with them next year.
My pictures don't compare to what my Dad has stashed away at their house. He has black and whites and boxes of slides that he's been scanning, this little beauty is one of them! Oh, how I loved that orange one piece - I could zip off the legs when it got too hot.
I am no where near as "bad" as my Dad when it comes to taking pictures. He pulls out his camera EVERY time we visit and then it's non-stop clicking! I do like to take pictures, but I tend to like more scenic ones and don't like to pose people in front of the view. Either way, I think we're both happy.
My planwishful thinking after the holidays is to scan my pictures in the computer and organize them, or maybe just to organize them. We'll see how far I get, but talking a walk down memory lane is wonderful.

This is my current camera and it's great. The zoom is fantastic and it's easy to use. Even if it did go swimming in iced tea last year! Although it has been acting up lately...

Thirty Days of Being Thankful - Day 21
Day 21
I am thankful for my parents making Stollens!
"The fruit has been steeped in brandy for three months, liquid now drained to other fruits with dark rum and Pimms..."

Oh, such a tease! Since we're going there for Thanksgiving, I think they should let us sample at least one. We really should make sure it's okay for Christmas!
And for Thanksgiving, I love they stuffing they make - little sausage balls, nuts, water chestnuts, celery, apples and who knows what other yummy goodness. I'll be taking care of dessert, pumpkin cheese with brandy whipped cream. I can't wait until next week with so much to be thankful for.

The first batch of Stollens are done and as they baked it felt like Christmas!

Thirty Days of Being Thankful - Day 20
Day 20
I am thankful for technology/communication.
Except right this minute, I'm frustrated with it! I'm trying to upload pictures and my computer is not cooperating. But I'm still thankful.
I did manage to add this picture of my Mom talking to my older brother on her birthday. He lives in Baton Rouge, LA, so he didn't get to see her on her birthday. I think she even got to Skype her brother in Germany while we there, pretty awesome!

I forgot my phone at home today when I went to pick Nathan up at the bus stop. I had to take him to gymnastics as soon as I picked him up and didn't have time to go back and get it. I wasn't too worried about it, but did feel a little lost!
I ended up visiting with my old neighbor while Nathan was in class and used her phone to let DH know I didn't have my phone in case the gmen were trying to get a hold of me.
As soon as his class was over, we ended up waiting at the gmen's school to pick them up after football practice. Of course today they were running late and I had nothing to do! Nathan was ever to happy to show me his Matchbox car game on his DS though.
Another plus? While shopping I found some starfish stamps my sil was looking for and I was able to take a picture to send her to see is she wanted them.
Who hasn't done something like that?!

Thirty Days of Being Thankful - Day 19
Day 19
I am thankful for my husband.
This could be a really long post, but I'll spare you and give just a couple of reasons why I am thankful and love this man so much!
What can I say, we met just after my 23rd birthday and he was a month shy of turning 19. Whoa, shouldn't that be the other way around? After five years of dating (he was still in college), we finally got married.
The reason I'm sitting in this picture is because I felt as though I was going to pass out and he ran to get me a chair to sit in. My hero!
Yesterday, Tracy at Shine-FM asked this question - You thought you loved him/her as much as you possibly could.. But then they did something that instantly deepened your love... Tell me about it ;)
This was my response - After having twins, they ended up staying in the hospital 10 days and I was able to stay with them. DH slept on the hard tile floor to be with us until we were given a bigger room for the last couple of nights. What a love!
Not only is he a fantastic husband, but he's a great father too! For this I am truly thankful and blessed.

I received an email from her asking me to tell it on the radio, so I did!

Thirty Days of Being Thankful - Day 18
Day 18
I am thankful for blankets.
I can't help it, I like to snuggle! Nothing better than a cuddle with a loved one... or two.
Ming and Max loving on my Christmas one.
This one lives in the car when I'm the passenger.
This beautiful blanket/wrap was made for me by my chosen sister, Karen. I've used this lately to keep the chill off!
I bought this on our cruise and used it many times while sitting on the bed or deck looking at the views.
I know it's not Halloween, but I'm still using this daily. I think I need to look for a Thanksgiving one!
The kitties love my blankets almost as much as I do. Instant cat magnet!
Nathan shares his Spongebob blanket with Max and I... sometimes.

And here's Nathan's favourite blanket, with him under it!
I have more packed away and more at the lake house, is there such thing as too many? Please don't ask DH, I know I won't like his answer.
