Brenda and I took a little detour on our way to the Grace Notes Retreat at the HodgePodge Cross Stitch, in Strasburg, PA.
Colleen mentioned that Marcia would be open on Sunday after the retreat for those of us that would be able to stop by on our way home. But we decided to go on the way since we knew we probably wouldn't have enough time on Sunday.
What a lovely shop! So many lovely things to look at.
As hard as it was, I contained myself and only bought these two sweet charts. I had never seen anything by Stitches by Ethel before, so many cute patterns!
And I also got this holder I've seen others with. There is a bigger one, but I like the small one.
Our next quick stop was at the Strasburg Antique Market, just down the road from the shop.

So many precious needlepoint and cross stitch pieces. Nice to see, but sad at the same time.
And you wouldn't be in Lancaster County if you didn't see at least one Amish Buggy.
This one looks like their version of an open pick up truck!

Wow! Two great shops!
I have a sister who would think she was in heaven in that shop. A real crafters den :)
Need to add to my bucket list!
I would be totally overwhelmed with all the possibilities in that shop! I am proud of you that you only succumbed to two designs.
Ohhh I love a stitching store....because I mean I need more patterns haha.
Hi Astrid. What a wonderful shop. I think if I were there, I would be so happy that my head wonderful be dizzy. 😆Unfortunately, there are no shopslike the ones you introduced in Japan.😭
I just love all of your Pictures - they are so pretty. Love the Amish Buggy and Horse. We have Amish living not too far from where I live at.
Take Care & Happy Stitching
