Happy St. David's Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Goodbye Valentine's Day, Hello St. David's Day!

I have a little addition this year.

This sweet daffodil was a Mill Hill kit, but all in beads. I didn't like the way it looked, so I changed it to DMC and just added the beads to the flowers. I like it much better.

This year the currants were up to par, so Welsh cakes were made!

Here's Addie and her first St. David's Day.

Dad flying the Welsh flag at their house.

So whether you celebrate this special Welsh holiday, have a beautiful Sunday. It's beautiful and sunny here today!

And Happy St. David's Day to you too. Your Welsh display is lovely, especially the cute little dragons.
Where I am in the UK the sun is shining and the daffodils are in full bloom, so spring feels like it's truly here (at least for today, anyway!)
I lived in Swansea for three years and have very fond memories of my time there and the friendliness of the Welsh towards us English invaders! My only regret is that I didn't learn any Welsh whilst I had the opportunity. Oh well. :)

Happy St. David's Day and thanks for the information about the holiday. I love how you changed the daffodil egg. I have one of those eggs, but at the moment, I don't remember which one!

Happy St David's Day to you too. My parents are actually in England this year, they often visit my sister in Wales at this time.
I stitched that daffodil egg last year, using all DMC. It's very pretty either way.

mmmm - those Welsh cakes do look tasty! No Welsh in my background that I know of - Scottish and English mostly. Happy St. David's Day to you!

Lovely to see your St David's Day celebrations, love the flower Welsh cakes - best ones I've ever had are from Cardiff indoor market, we buy some everytime we visit our daughter (export them to England too haha) this year I made Bara Brith.
