Christmas in August!

At last, Christmas in July, but posting in August! 😞

Thanks again to Kaye, for organizing this Christmas in July exchange. This time I was sending AND receiving from Australia, what fun!

Stitching Noni @ Fireflies & Cats in the Garden sent me this...
A Panda pattern, a boomerang, a snowman scissor fob, a stitched snowman/penguin card, a stitched bell ornament, buttons and embellishments, yummy chocolates, and adorable koala fabric! I believe I got everything. Wow, I've been spoiled!
I think I'll get a frame for the card so I can display it better. I mentioned I thought I needed to find a koala pattern to use the fabric with and Noni sent me this link to Carrol Nielsen Cross Stitch Designs. So many to choose from!

Close up of the card, bell ornament, and fob.

Nathan and I had some of the chocolate coins 😍, but I'm saving the Cadbury for later.
Once again, thank you so much, Noni! I love everything and Nathan appreciates the coins!

I sent my package to Lyn, but she doesn't have a blog. Because I wanted to send her a rum cake from our Caribbean cruise in July, she didn't receive it until August.

This is what I sent Lyn, but forgot to take a picture of the chocolate rum cake.

I made the card and the angel earrings, stitched Father Christmas on the sled, and the Christmas tree. I sort of made the tree into a shadow box, I'm not quite sure it ended up the way I thought it would, but there it is.

Another fun exchange, thank you, Kaye! 💟

Easter Swap Goodies!

Wow, I received my Easter swap goodies from Sherry @ Blessings From Our Nest and they are wonderful!  A big soft pillow, a sachet that has lavender in it from her garden, an adorable chick postcard wall hanging, a music note nest w/eggs, 2 candles, orange/chocolate eggs, peanut butter/chocolate "pie", and of course, a cute little chick!  Thank you so much, Sherry, I love everything you sent.

Here are my goodies, set up in the dining room.  This is where we eat all our meals, so it's nice to be able to see it every day - and it smells good too!  I have behaved so far and have only had one orange/chocolate egg - but need to watch the rest or a little one who shall remain nameless Nathan, will get his little fingers on them!  BTW, the egg was so good, I hope the Easter Bunny leaves me a few more!

Even the box my goodies came in was a hit, Ming liked sitting in there with the paper and she now smells amazing

If you’d like to see what I gave Mollye, check it out @ Fruit of the Spirit BUT, she may not get it until tomorrow.  I was so picky on what I wanted to stitch and then had to figure out how to finish it, that I ended up sending it a little late.  I did let her know and hopefully she will forgive me!

Thanks again for hosting this Parsley, what fun!

Valentine’s Swap Goodies!

OMGoodness!  I love all my goodies that Jill @ A Stitch in Time gave me!
She made me the most beautiful and delicate heart, just precious.  I don't want to use it as a scissor fob because I don't want it to get dirty!  So it's in my dining room, hanging on my cabinet.  See my cute pins/needles book, wonderful since I’m forever misplacing my needles!  The colour theme of the Crescent colours are perfect for Valentine’s Day – they are “Love'”, “Sweetest Heart”, and “Cupid”.  Now I just need to find something fun to make with them.  I have notepads to write my notes on, especially for stitching shopping and those honey-do lists!  I’m looking forward to wearing my slipper socks today, they are so soft and comfy looking.  The unfortunate part about the Reese’s chocolate is that 2 out of 3 of the boys want some too!  So I say thanks again to Jill, this is my first swap and I’m just thrilled!

Here is a close-up of her handiwork, isn’t it precious?

If you’d like to see what I gave Parsley, check it out at Seasons Of My Mind.  I totally forgot to photograph the things I had given her until the package was already in the mail!  Thanks for hosting this Parsley, it was so much fun!
