December Fun!

Before Christmas, my chosen sister, Cori, invited me to join her at Peddler's Village in PA for a short getaway. WOW, we had a fantastic time and are already planning on going back next year!

So many beautiful lights... everywhere! And lots of fun shops, I think we might have missed a few.

Um, no thanks.

I see you, darn frog!

And I was loving the moonflake!

This sweet Gazebo had gingerbread scenes on exhibit.

The categories were Traditional, Authentic Reproduction, 3-D, Movie or TV Set, Student, Kids Only and a new one, Philly Pride.
I didn't take pictures of them all, but I still took a lot! So creative and fun.

A fun, wisk Christmas tree.

We had a phone in our room, but it was a little hard to order room service with it not being connected!

We missed breakfast at the Inn, but Nancy's Village Cafe was recommended - it was wonderful!

Having some last minute fun with a picture in a picture, unfortunately hard to see.

And then before I knew it, it was Christmas!

I didn't ask for any stitchy stuff because quite honestly, I have enough to keep me busy for a very long time. But that's not to say I wasn't tempted.
Although I did receive Mermaids from my three boys! The fabric in the lower right corner will be made into a blanket as soon as Gman1 has the use of his arm back after his surgery.

A couple of days later we went to celebrate our belated Christmas with Oma and Opa.

And we had our yearly family photo taken!

In stitchy news, I had gotten this at Joann's when they were on sale and stitched this little guy.

It's nice enough, but the white is NOT white after I stitched it. You can barely tell his pink face. I guess it's from the holes? Any thoughts?

This sled was almost finished but I hadn't added the cat yet. Then I decided that it was meant for Gman1's gf, C, and added Finn to it!

Here's the sweet boy, but he's much bigger now!

Next time... update on my Momma's birthday!

Looks like you girls had a fantastic time. Love the lights and the gingerbread display. What a great Christmas. Love the mermaids you got. I guess the only thing you could do with the santa is to take it out and put the whiter thread in. The sled looks great!

Oh what a fabulous outing you had! Yes, I think I agree with Katie. The ornament you made your son's girlfriend is so sweet.

WOW ... what a great moon picture. Lots of pretty things you saw. I've never seen so many nutcrackers altogether.
A lovely annual snap of the family.

omygosh, that looks like a ton of fun! Elk and boar jerky ain't so bad! I've not had the others though. My last gator was... roasted? I was pretty young and had no clue on the cooking of it! The Peddler's Village has a fantastic display. You had a wonderful Christmas for sure! Love the little Finn addition to the MH, how cute!

I envy you for your trip to Peddler's Village. I love Christmas lights and gingerbread decorations. Along with cardinals and poinsettias, they're my favorite Christmas items.

My Jo-Ann's didn't carry the Santa, but I didn't see the problem with the snowman I did. I did use two strands instead of three. Kyleigh started the snowman with three strands while I did two on the stocking. I liked mine much better so when she lost interest, I ripped it out and restitched it in two strands.

BTW, you have a lovely family!

Looks like you girls had a great trip! The lights look lovely, and all that gingerbread, wow!
Shame about Santa’s face, the pink just wasn’t! It’s disappointing when they can’t get the colours right!
I do love the ornament for Gman1’s girlfriend..... sweet little cat! I bet she loved that!
Hugs,
Barbara xx
