Welcome to the first word of the Scavenger Photo Hunt for May, although a little late posting. This week's word is -
Space...
I had every intention of actually posting on Friday, but I must have just spaced out!
Looking through my photos from the early '90's, this is when DH and I were dating and went to Florida to Disney and the Kennedy Space Center.
And very appropriate since DH is an aerospace engineer, aka, rocket scientist!
After the Gmen were born, DH worked on the mission that John Glenn flew on and was able to have him sign their baby books prior to launch.
The mission.
Somewhere in a box are some items that have flown in space and came back - glow in the dark stars that we put our names on, and I can't remember what else. I'll find them one day!
The Gmen enjoying their shuttle ride!
I went to my Pop's funeral in Wales when they were five and brought them back duvets and these covers.
Perfect for their room that we had painted for them.
Having fun at the Air Force Museum in Ohio.
A different kind of space - our great room before and after getting new furniture.

Hi Astrid ... I was hoping to blog about my visit to our National space centre in Leicester a number of years ago, but when I trawled the archives I only had two photos and they both were rubbish ... yours are far better. No real preference for words for the scavenger hunt for me ... it’s always interesting to see how differently everyone interprets the theme. Thank you for keeping it going and well, done for keep thinking up new words ๐
I enjoyed this one - fun subject!
What special things your boys have to remember our space adventures. My DD was born right after the first lunar landing. I was up at night feeding her anyway so I got to see it! I was sure happy that Chinese rocket landed in the Indian Ocean not on land!
What fabulous photos and memories. How wonderful to have those autographs in the baby books too, that's something to really treasure.
My brother had Space Shuttle wallpaper in his bedroom, it was very expensive so he only had one wall done!
When you are trying to show your husband how to do something, do you say "come on, it's not rocket science?" Or is that just my sense of humour LOL
Great pictures as always Astrid. I do miss your Friday stitching spot.
Linda
Great photos and great memories, too. And now we know why they're called G-men.
