Friday's Stitching Ground ๐Ÿง™‍♂️

Tonight was movie night, can you guess what we were watching?

I decided to start the last mermaid so I can be done with them.
And the kitties decided to keep Nathan company while I was stitching, so I could actually bend my knees!

This week I walked around our neighbour's pond again and this time I had company. I also heard a big splash as I was walking by a clump of trees, they think it's a beaver. I'll have to walk slower next time to see if I can see it.

So back to the movie... are there movies you might be rewatching since you're home? I hadn't see this trilogy in quite a while and Nathan had never seen it, so we started last week. It's the extended version so it's like watching six movies!
I think I see Harry Potter in our future next week.
Do you have any favourites?

The mermaids looks super.
We've been catching up on Outlander, but sadly, you couldn't watch that with Nathan!

I love the Lord of the Rings! Our #1 son was reading that series when he was four (yeah, I know - he was one of THOSE children!!) and as a result I needed to read it ahead of him to be sure it was appropriate reading for him. I fell in love with it and have wanted to re-read the series ever since. I'm a fan of the Harry Potter series as well. The sports channel here has been airing sports-themed movies lately so we were able to re-watch 'Field of Dreams'. We both love that movie so it's a must-see whenever it appears. 'Pretty Woman' and 'Ghost' are two others that we watch over and over.

Cute mermaids! Is it going to be a biscornu?

We used to have a tradition of watching all three Lord of the Rings movies (extended versions!) while a pot of homemade beef barley soup simmered on the stove. Good memory. We’d smell the soup cooking and sometime during the second or third movie it would be ready to eat.

Lately I’ve been binge-watching “The Good Wife” TV show. We saw the first season of the follow-up series, “The Good Fight” on CBS All Access but haven’t caught the latest seasons yet.

What a pretty place to walk! I am glad all these restrictions came when Nature is putting on a beautiful show here in the NW!

Nice work on the biscornu.
I wasn't sure whether it was The Hobbit or LotR!
We had a customer come in and ask for The Hobbit, so I took him to Sci-Fi and Fantasy and said "we have a couple of different editions". Then he asked where the second and third books were. He couldn't believe they made three films out of a fairly slim book! I did say they took some of the Silmarillion and the LotR appendices too but to be honest, that is for diehard Tolkein scholars only!

Yep recognized the movie from the screen shot. Lovely progress on the biscornu. Beautiful spot for a walk. I love walking about the pond at our campground. So peaceful. We watch a lot of movies when we are at the campground. Last weekend we watched Dr Dolittle and since I loved it so much I had to go buy my own copy. We have a pile to take down next time. One is the new Star Wars movie.

Lovely mermaids, movies are keeping us all sane right now. I love the pond, I'll be so glad to walk somewhere different to my garden.

Soon we will be seeing your Mermaid finish! Great progress!! I wanted to watch the Lou Gehrig story last night but my husband said he has seen it so many times already. It always makes me cry!! We recently watched Endeavor, the story about Shackelton's expedition which was excellent. You could watch that with your son!! I need to find a good series to watch that both husband and I would enjoy.

How cool to have a nearby pond that you can enjoy. Hope you can get a picture of that beaver.

Astrid: The Mermaids are so pretty.
My cat feels a need to be on my right leg with an arm extended up to my neck which makes it difficult to stitch, I do get some done but end up cuddling some.
I hope you get to see the beaver, they are so cool looking.
I have been binge watching Friends, Frasier and all Live PD. I can find.

Stay healthy
