From our church bulletin yesterday...
"We bet there’s a lot of behind the scenes stories and fun facts about the picnic you probably don’t know. Periodically, we’ll be sharing these with you to show that the Clarksville Picnic truly is more than a picnic!
We had a lot of repeat customers due to high demand prizes this year. One young girl had been at the stand all afternoon trying to win. We had a young Cub Scout who was just as determined win the prize but then turned to witness the disappointment on the young girl’s face. He immediately took his prize and offered it to the young girl, who was obviously overjoyed! Everyone present witnessed the Cub Scout’s actions/generosity and word even made it back to his Troop Leader."

What a sweet kid to do something so kind. I hope he gets paid back in many ways. I have always taught Jeremiah to put out good into the world and you might get it back. Thanks for sharing.
Love this - and what a great lesson it is for all of us! :)
So lovely to read this.
A very kind young man. It's little actions like this that remain with us for the rest of our lives, I wonder if the girl will remember him in years to come with fond affection.
Someone did a great job with him. ;)
What a considerate young man ..... what a nice tale to read!
Restores one's faith in human kind!

That was a very kind and generous thing for that young Cub Scout to do... And I bet his parents are still smiling about it!
Oo, I do wonder whose son he was? If you know his Mum, tell her what a great job she's done raising such a thoughtful boy!
