Grow Your Blog 2015

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be. ~ Douglas Pagels

It's that time again, thanks to Vicki @ 2 Bags Full!

My name is Astrid and this is my fifth year blogging.  It started out as cross stitching and then went on from there - family, friends, testing Pinterest recipes, blog hops, and even Scenes from a ...car/train/boat/plane/whatever.
Here's a little bit about me ~

Here's a sample of some cross stitch, appropriate at the moment with the snow we are supposed to be getting!

Scenes from a ... ferry

Family

And now for the fun part, the give-a-way!  This is not a requirement of Grow Your Blog, just a suggestion.  So please leave me a comment telling me your favourite drink, and if it's a mixed drink please share the recipe!  On Feb 15th, I'll pick a winner.  A winner of what?  I'm not sure, but I'll find something you'll like.  It might be a stitchy piece or a gift card?
BTW, right now my favourite drink is my morning mocha peppermint coffee or even my white chocolate raspberry coffee, yum!

I don't know how long it's going to take me to look at over 400 blogs, but I'll do my best!  I hope YOU meet some new friends along the way, that's my plan!

And just in case you're really bored interested, here are my two prior Grow Your Blog posts from 2013 and 2014.

I just love your snowflakes sampler. I have been contemplating picking up cross-stitching again. I haven't done it since my eyes started getting old....but now that I have finally given in to turning 50 and got myself some glasses I may be able to do it again. You have inspired me. I am following your blog now. Please come by and visit me (section 19) and follow if you would like.

Love your cross stitch sampler! I have just began cross stitching again after a long siesta! I am finding I cannot put it down but that is how I was before. I used to cross stitch large projects but this time around I am sticking to smaller pieces as my eyes tire quickly. That is the main reason I stopped before.

You have a darling family! I am not much on coffee, especially flavored coffee so I have to say my favorite drink is sweet tea... good ole' southern sweet tea. I use 2 cups of sugar to sweeten a gallon..and use 5 family size tea bags. YUM!

Your family looks so charming! I don't think I'll make it to all 400 blogs, but I'm focusing on blogs that are about more than just crafts--mostly because I'm not crafty at all and I have a feeling craft bloggers won't be too interested in my life!

Love the facts about you! Very interesting. I do like those Cottage Garden pieces too.
I mostly drink instant coffee, white with one sugar. I used to enjoy making Tequila Sunrises when I worked in a bar, especially putting the grenadine in to make the sunrise effect!

Hi Astrid! Visiting from GYB. I love seeing your stitchery. I wish I could drink coffee but my stomach doesn't like the coffee acids! But yours sound scrumptious! So I drink flavored teas... my favorite...vanilla ceylon. But then again, I am an ice tea addict!

Hi Astrid! I'm visiting via GYB and I'm ashamed to say my favorite drink is an ice cold Coca-Cola (I need to take a page out of your book and give up soda...I know)! On a cold winter day, I also love hot mint green tea. I completely agree with you on the shopping cart thing, by the way!

Hi Astrid, I love the cross stitch of the snowdrops - I love the clean lines and simplicity. As for my favorite drink - depends on the day but today it seems to be lemon tea with a bit of honey. Susan
