For those of you who don't know me, my name is Astrid, and I love dragons! And mermaids! And cats! And polar bears! And that's it... for now!
My DH and I have been married for 18.5 years, together for 23+. We have identical twin boys, the gmen, who are almost 16 and are just learning how to drive - very scary! Nathan is our seven year old and keeps us all on our toes. Our furbabies are Ming and Max, and they are very loved! We are in the process of rebuilding our home, but that's another "blog".
This blog was originally supposed to be just about stitching, but then I found more "stuff" to write about! I'm hoping to get my mojo back to start this little guy from HAED. I just got some new fabric today, I didn't like what I originally used - luckily it was only a few lines. The artist is Randal Spangler and he's supposed to be at a craft show I'm hoping to go to tomorrow, too cool! (Really, it's been freezing here!)
My latest big finish was my Trick or Treat Fairy, I just need to get her framed.
So even though this isn't a requirement, I will be having a give-a-way. What you ask? I have no idea! But I do have a great LNS nearby, I'm sure I can find something fun. And if you're not a stitcher? No worries, I'm sure I can find something else just for you. Just leave me a comment telling me your favourite dessert. Why? Because I want to know if I'm missing something good! I would have to say my favourite is lemon meringue pie, yum.
The winner will be picked on February 15th - along with all the other blogs participating. Be sure to check them all out! I can't promise I'll be able to look at all the blogs this weekend, but I'll definitely start.

It was nice to get to know you a little better Astrid. Love the family pic. My favorite dessert is anything chocolate - cake, pie, brownies, ice cream, etc. I would love to be entered in your giveaway.

Oh that little bookmark dragon is sweet. I don't really do desserts very much, I don't have a particularly sweet tooth and I'm far more likely to order the cheeseboard if we eat out, though I do have a fondness for a good old fashioned rhubarb crumble

I am still learning about this and would like to try to take part in it... I have had the flu so I am doubtful I will be able to this year. It is so good to get to know everyone. Thank you for this giveaway.. Please add my name to the drawing. My favorite dessert is a coconut cake... I love coconut. lemon cake with a clear sugar glaze for icing is my second favorite.
I have done some cross-stitch over the years- lovin' the Halloween one! Fav dessert has to be warm chocolatey anything with hot fudge.

Hi Astrid! I like your blog - even though I'm not a stitcher, it's lovely to see what other people are creating. I knit wobbly blankets for stray cats and make cards. I look forward to coming back to see what else you have been creating.
I don't really eat desserts myself, but the two I make most are banoffee pie and White chocolate & Ginger cheesecake, with chilli sauce. Having said that, I love a really tart Tarte au Citron, and also my Mr FD's Pannetone Bread and Butter pudding.

Favourite dessert? Yes. Dessert is my favourite! I will always go without a starter to make room of dessert, or afters as we call it here.
Given a choice I would say lemon meringue (like you) or maybe apple crumble with custard. When I was pregnant with the Large Boy I craved custard every lunchtime. Some days I just had a bowl of custard if I didn't like the hot dessert that day!

My favourite dessert? All kinds of fruit, ice cream, especially homemade, and homemade Tiramisu with lots of coffee, amaretto in and cocoa on it!
