Busy in May

In May, Nathan and I went to a balloon festival nearby. We met friends there and had a great time.

Love the crab!

The moon was amazing that night.

Only one gman went to prom, and he went with his friend way back from PreK.

They looked so good together in blue.

Look at that rainbow of colours!

Next event was the boys last indoor football game. They won every game but one, and they missed that one!

Then came the trip to the Baltimore Zoo with Nathan's class.
These little guys are adorable.

At least he's taller than a penguin!

I have a love/hate feeling towards the zoo - love seeing the animals, but hate to see them caged. This precious boy looks like he really doesn't want to be there.

The giraffe seemed happy though.

And OMGoodness, these guys were too cute!

Beautiful Caribbean Flamingos.

Here's Joyful World for May - trying to match Max, not the best but it will do.

I used beads for his eyes, but not quite sure about them. Looks kind of spooky... thoughts?

That's it for May - next time, Graduation!

Are those petite seed beads? If I could I'd go smaller, but I like the color.

Nice photos of everything, and maybe smaller on the beads? Or could try French knots?

Busy Busy. Love the pics. I agree with you about zoo's. It's a love/hate relationship. I think the eyes look fine but if you don't like them hope you can figure out what to do. Maybe smaller?

So much activity! We are blessed to live in a country that has so much going on at all times! Love the balloons... how neat! And I used to be penguin crazy--it was so much fun! Cute May stitch. The eyes do look a little large... I don't do french knots, but have done colonial knots which seem easier. Maybe try them? Thanks for sharing! Hugs!

Awesome balloons! How does Max feel about his eyes? ;) I think they are a bit big.

The balloons look amazing, as does that colour-coordinated photo of the prom!
I think zoos are great for smaller animals but not for ones who need to roam like the polar bears.
I agree with the others about slightly smaller beads for the cat's eyes too.

You have been busy. The grad colours are lovely.

I'm with you on the zoos. I love to see all the different animals, but . . . .

Great variety of hot air balloons - looks like a lot of fun.
