Friday's Stitching Ground ⚾

Today's stitching ground brings me to the ballfield while watching Nathan play baseball. Perfect time to take a photo while he's at bat!

It's about 70° with a slight breeze, bring on spring!

Have you ever stitched at a sporting event?

  1. Great pic Astrid!
When I first started to play lawn bowls, many years ago, I used to knit. We played team games and in the beginning it seemed so long to wait for my turn I just had to get a few rows in! Tee hee! Once I really got into the game I would never have knitted there again. But now I do remember taking my cross stitch to work on before a game started!
    Your stitching looks very pretty.

  4. What's sport? LOL

Actually I have stitched while my younger son was having his trampoline session so maybe that counts.

Nice work on the sampler. Hope Nathan got a rounder or whatever they call them!

  5. Nathan looks ready to hit a homer!

I haven't stitched at a sporting event. Jacob used to do participate in some sports when he was little but now he has no interest. I only stitch waiting in the pick up line after his school day because he has to be driven back and forth.

  7. I enjoy baseball and we have a local minor league nearby and to see the Mets every so often, but I never stitch at the games. I'm too afraid I'd miss a ball coming at me! YOur stitch is coming along nicely.

  13. I would love to stitch before games waiting for them to start but it is too dark in the basketball arena. I never thought about bringing a stitch to a baseball game. HMM? I do bring stitches to appointments while I wait and I stitch in the car on trips. RJ

  14. Yes, I stitch at most of the Angels' games I attend. Unfortunately, they changed the lighting last year so I can't stitch as much after dark anymore, but I still stitch before the games.
