Friday's Stitching Ground 🐈

For this Friday, I didn't get to stitch until this evening. It's been another busy day at church/school getting ready for the Clarksville Picnic tomorrow.

My sweet boy, Maximus, was keeping me company tonight while stitching. I haven't been stitching much this week, but I was still able to do a little every day.

With DH and Nathan being gone all week, it's been quiet around here with just Gman2 and I. Nathan comes back from scout camp tomorrow (yay!) and DH comes back on Sunday from his Home Brew Beer thingy.

Do you have a full house, or maybe just one or two of you there?
Furbabies count too!

  1. Maximus looks like a great stitching companion, especially during the winter when he doubles up as a hot-water bottle! A few years ago, when I stitched in the same room as them, my cockatiels used to like 'helping' me by nibbling my needle or pulling my bobbins out of the thread box. It was a novelty until they started pecking at the actual stitches. I stitch in a different room now but do wonder if I took a small piece of stitching in there whether they would still be just as helpful! :)

  4. Hi Astrid! Love the progress on your newest stitch. It's just me and my husband (our son is grown and living in Texas). Just got back home from a nice week at the beach and was so happy to see a new post from you. I always enjoy what you have stitched. Have a great week. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever

  5. Love Summer is coming along nicely. All of us here. Henry usually sleeps on my lap while I stitch. ;)

  6. Maximus is a big kitty! You are making great progress on your LK piece.

It is funny how the absence of a family member or two can make the house seem so different. When Tia and Jacob spend the weekend in Phoenix the house is extra quiet with just me and my son. We have four dogs and a bird and none of them are very helpful unless you count yelling at the neighbors when they are out.

  7. I actually put a few stitches in while watching a movie at the cabin Friday with Fred and Jeremiah. Lovely progress on your LK.

  10. Awww Maximus is so lovely. We are quite a small household - just me and the husband, Darren. We'd love pets but our work ours and the fact we rent prevents that. On the bright side, I think pets would distract me from sewing! x

  11. Nice progress! I am rarely alone although it is a little strange as my older son has finished school for the year so he is in the house but not awake until the afternoons!
