A little shopping and another finish

Karen had to pick up some floss and beads at the Stitching Post last Saturday so I had to keep her company!

I like using perforated paper, but I don't like how you can only get it in 14 count.
I found these bits of fabric that are so stiff, it's like using paper. I'm going to try it and see how it goes.

Even though I promised myself I wasn't going to buy any more charts, I love this one.
Hello, fall!

I just finished this, Mill Hill Frosty Mug. I changed the snowflake to a sparkle floss so it would stand out better. Not sure if I'm framing it or what.

Another Mill Hill start, with some help!

  2. Very cute finish! I am interested in the fabric so I look forward to seeing how you like it. Does the fabric have any special name?

  3. At first I thought you were talking about my help on your last picture...haha and then I realized you were talking about Ming! I love your little snowman finish, it looks even better in person (why is it that you can't get the real feel of a piece in a picture?) I think the fabric you picked up is needlepoint canvas, and I have a few of those samples as well...they will work great! Love the Autumn pattern!!

  4. Great find at the shop. I don't like stitching on perforated paper but I do love how the projects look on them and how easily you can finish and hang them up.
That Frosty Mug looks gerat, Astrid. And great new start on the Mill Hill kit. I agree, a new chart every now and then is a must. We have to support the designers, don't we? Lol.

  5. That Autumn pattern is so nice... it will be great! And I look forward to hearing how those little pieces of needlepoint fabric work for you. I am not a fan of perforated paper, but I SOMEHOW have two Mill Hill kits in my stash, waiting for some attention. Love the Snowbells series! Hugs!

I've never stitched on perforated paper....perhaps I should give it a go.
