Friday's Stitching Ground ๐Ÿ›‹๐Ÿ

This evening brought me to my craft room where I decided to finally start Gathering Honey. Which also meant I had to gather supplies! I already had the fabric and floss, and luckily had the magazine it's in. I had the magazine years ago, but for whatever reason got rid of it. I found it again at a book sale, for only $1.75, phew!

I have no idea what fabric it is, but I know it's 28 count.
Here I go...

Earlier today my stitching ground was the sofa where I finished this little guy.

So where are you stitching today?

  1. What a cute little penguin. That honey sampler is going to be beautiful. Not sure what I'm stitching tonight, probably The Ferry Farm Cherry Sampler by Homespun Elegance. It is fascinating and all about the family of our first president.

  2. Your sampler is going to be amazing, the colours look great. Cute penguin too. Today I'll be working on the Seasonal Challenge at Needlecraft Haven and maybe sorting out a quilt project.

  3. That penguin is adorable! I had that old magazine and gifted it to a British friend several years ago for that very same sampler she wanted to stitch, and she did! It is wonderful!

  5. Congrats on the cute finish and nice start Astrid. I either sit at the kitchen table or in my chair in the living room to stitch.

  9. Nice project. Pretty colours! I have some of those early magazines! My stitching for the Valentineโ€™s Day Hop (flowers on black Aida) was a pattern from the very first magazine in the series.
Love the penguin, heโ€™s soo cute!

  11. Julie is right, I stitched that one for a friend! She had given up cross stitch and gave me a very large box of stash in exchange for stitching Gathering Honey for her. It's a lovely design and I look forward to seeing yours grow!
